Soutar vs Cuming
Coming into this event Alan Soutar would undoubtedly have been one of the most feared unseeded players, given his run last year, and his excellent Grand Slam effort which saw him reach the QF. He beat Aspinall in the group stage, hitting a 145 finish in the process and shocked Jonny Clayton in that event in the first KO round. Cuming is a relative unknown to most , but will have to play seriously well to beat Soutar, and despite the crowd likely being against him, Soutar will expect a comfortable win.

Krcmar vs SuzukiBoris
Krcmar is one of the most intimidating figures on tour physically, but on his day he is extremely imposing on the dartboard as well. He had a cracking run in the UK Open, missing out on a place in the QF in a narrow defeat to James Wade. He also showed he can mix it with the best when he beat Aspinall in his most recent PC event in early November. Suzuki is relatively unknown also, despite appearing in the World Cup, representing Japan in their defeat to Belgium. Big Boris Krcmar should progress here though and I expect it to be a relatively easy win.

Lewis vs Larsson
Adrian Lewis in full flow is one of the greatest sights in darts, but in recent times that has been very few and far between. He did win a PC event earlier in the season but was very poor in defeat to Keane Barry in the PC finals recently. Larsson tends to hover around the 85-90 average mark and that is going to struggle to beat Lewis, even if not at his best. I think most darts fans are hoping to see the very best from Adrian Lewis but he should win this, even without his A game.
