Schindler vs Lukeman
This is set to be a very close game. Schindler has fantastic scoring power, and Lukeman is incredible solid. The head to head is 2 wins apiece and every stat points to this going deep. With the 180 hitting prowess that Schindler has I’ll be banking on that but fully expect Lukeman to come through in the end.
Prediction: Schindler 2-3 Lukeman
Best bets:
Lukeman win with Schindler most 180’s - 11/4
Match to have over 15.5 legs, over 6.5 180’s and a HC over 116.5 - 5/4
Noppert vs Cameron
Noppert will be looking at this thinking it’s a very winnable first game. Cameron averaged 87 against Burnett which is respectable on an Ally Pally debut but won’t be enough to beat Noppy. The pair met in the BDO in 2017 with Noppy coming out on top and I expect similar here.
Prediction: Noppert 3-1 Cameron
Best Bets: Noppy win the match treble - 1/1
Clayton vs De Trijp
De Trijp hit 4 180’s and averaged in the high 80’s when beating Beaton and for a young man on debut he was impressive. Clayton hasn’t been as good this year but should still have too much for the Dutchman. His 180 hitting is very inconsistent so I’m willing to chance him winning with De Trijp hitting most 180’s.
Prediction: Clayton 3-1 De Trijp
Best bets: Clayton to win with De Trijp most 180’s - 9/4
Cullen vs Evans
Cullen has won the last 5 meetings with Ricky Evans and he’ll expect that form to continue here. Evans won easily in the end against Fallon Sherrock but was lucky in stages and he won’t get those chances against Cullen. It’s been a good year for Cullen, winning his first major and reaching the final of the PL and he’ll look to build on that at the Worlds.
Prediction: Cullen 3-0 Evans
Best bets:
Cullen to win the match treble - 7/4
Cullen to win, hit over 3.5 180’s and checkout over 100.5 - 5/4
Best Treble
Cullen and Noppert to win with most 180’s & Lukeman to win - 9/2
