With his hurdling career starting at Carlisle today, MAXIMILIAN looks to find further improvement back at the course that he won twice at earlier this year.
Following a 3-length win under rules at Rathcannon, MAXIMILIAN joined Donald McCain. Since then, the selection has seen two victories at this course, which included a win under penalty.
In-form Mccain goes into the day with a 22% strike rate over the last two weeks. And I expect MAXILIAN to have the beating of a field where improvement will be needed across the board if a challenger is set to arise.

KING FERDINAND was in fine form towards end of last season (2,1,2) and looks set to run a big race today.
The selection finished second last time out after a 185 day break having moved trainers from Tom Lacey to Eugene O'Sullivan. KING FERDINAND is expected to come on from that run, and if so, will have the beating of this field.
