Aintree

13:30 - Tiger Jet 6/1 WIN

You can certainly question the depth of the form from Tiger Jet's Hexham Victory but you cannot question the manner of the way he did it. Brian Ellison's horse romped home by no less than 19 lengths, going further and further away at the line. He has been given a 10lb rise by the handicapper for that facile success but it is easy to argue he was value for plenty more and he looks a horse who can continue on the up now he has some confidence back over timber.

13:45 - Fairy Gem 2/1 WIN

Harry Fry's mare was a smart bumper horse who placed in a pair of listed contests at Cheltenham and Sandown last term and connections will be hoping she can take her form over to hurdles. She has a fancy pedigree, related to some nice horses like Angels Breath and Outofthisworld and today looks a good opportunity for her to make a winning start over obstacles, especially considering Harry Fry's red hot form of two wins and two second places from his five runners over the last 14 days.

15:15 - Onemorefortheroad 5/1 EW

In what looks a competitive handicap hurdle in Liverpool this afternoon, Neal King's horse gains the vote to win his 7th race under rules. He is a very consistent horse who has never finished worse than 4th place throughout his fourteen starts in his career. Last season he took his form to a new level, moving up from low grade summer races to running in the hottest handicaps of the season like the Betfair Exchange Trophy, the Imperial Cup and the Scottish Champion Hurdle. Despite his consistency the handicapper has not been too harsh and he remains on a workable mark of 136 which hopefully he can progress past this season, starting today at Aintree.
