14:35 - Ree Okka 11/4 1pt win
Although Ree Okka was beaten at short odds on his chase debut he showed enough to keep him on side. Sean Bowen went out with the aim to make all in a small field and Harry Fry’s horse jumped nicely throughout, looking the likely winner in the back straight before Doctor Ken just showed a better turn of foot late on.
I think the shape of today’s race will suit him more too; the bigger field should allow Bowen to revert to hold up tactics as there is a lot of pace in the race. Another positive is going right handed as the one flaw at Aintree was his slight tendency to jump right, so Exeter should null that issue. The handicapper has put him 1lb for his last run, but I expect him to surpass his mark of 129 this season.
