I am of the forgiving nature when it comes to KNOCKBREX as he has not been given the best chance to win on either of his last starts. Dettori went off way too fast aboard him on his last ride at Royal Ascot, leaving him no chance to sustain his effort and similar comments can apply to Atzeni who took it up too early at York. Prior to that, he had been mightily impressive at Pontefract when putting away the smart filly Perfuse and then only found Gregory too strong at Haydock when trying to give him 6lb.
I think Newmarket will suit this strong galloper and his form all stacks up to make him look well treated off a handicap mark of 90 and another positive is that the Johnston team have won this race 6 times since 2013. KNOCKBREX is the one that looks most likely to enhance their record and his double-digit odds look very generous if Jason Hart can dictate this field like he will aim to.

HARRY MAGNUS won his first handicap from a modest mark of 80 considering his novice form stacked up so well and he looked like a handicapper going places when he won over C&D a few starts back. The form of that race has worked out really well too, further backing up that point. However, he has ran twice since but conditions have not been to suit, so it is a huge positive that he is back in a big field handicap today which looks set to be run a strong gallop as that looks to be what he relishes.
William Buick rides again for the first time since his victory and I would be shocked if HARRY MAGNUS is not a much better horse than an 83 rated one when conditions are right for him like they should be today.
