This weekends boxing comes from Frankfurt Germany where the Vacant IBO World Light Heavyweight Title will be fought for between home fighter Leon Bunn and his Irish opponent Padraig McCrory.
Both fighters come into this contest unbeaten and this looks like it could be a cracker, Bunn is unbeaten in 18 contests with 9 stoppages to his name, but he hasn’t fought outside his native country before.
Title fights in Germany tend to favor the home fighter, but as Bunn hasn’t fought anyone of any serious note to date so it’s hard to gauge where he’s at.
McCrory comes into this fight unbeaten in 14 contests with 8 stoppage to his name, and on his resume he looks to have fought slightly better opposition. In his most recent fight he stopped Marco Antonio Periban who is known to fans in the UK after having fought James de gale & Joshua Buatsi.
McCrory comes from an excellent background and with his top team back in Ireland having produced numerous world champions, he will be coming into this fight at the top of his game. In what looks to be a real 50/50 fight with the bookmakers (they have Bunn at odds of 4/6 while McCrory is 11/10) I am leaning towards McCrory for the stoppage as he looks to be a real good puncher, and when he has his opponents hurt he can capitalise quickly and that’s what I think will happen on Saturday night.
My best bet for this fight:
McCrory to win (1/1 with QuinnBet)
