While Blufferonthebus looks the pick of the newcomers and should be a factor here if ready to roll on debut.
15.25 – Lingfield – Handicap Devizes is already two wins from five starts this year and is a four-time course winner, he bolted up last time out to win easily at Kempton and he should go well in his follow up bid. Bit Harsh hasn't been beaten far in his two 3rd placed efforts recently and has pulled nicely clear of the remainder and he has already won twice this year and looks a big player in this field. With Captain Kane rounding up the shortlist, he holds solid claims here if replicating his most recent effort and he is only 3lb above his last winning mark.
16.55 – Beverley – Handicap Zinc White was far from his best when finishing down the field in the Ascot Stakes last time out, but he easily won at Chester before that defying a long absence and this does represent a slight drop in grade, and he is high on the shortlist. Coltor is another who arrives after having a tough job on his hands in the Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot last month and is another with strong claims here. While Land Of Winter arrives here in decent form and shouldn't be totally dismissed.
18.35 – Southwell – Handicap Chase Go On Chez was only beaten a neck on seasonal debut and pulled 20 lengths clear of the third, the form of that race has already been franked by the winner and despite being given a 5lb rise in the weights he holds solid claims of making amends here. Wick Green arrives here in search of a hat trick after bolting up here last time out, he too has a 5lb rise to contend with, but he is thriving at the minute and is sure to mount a bold bid for the hat trick. Landofsmiles was still in contention when falling at the fourth last at Perth last time out and should be in the thick of things here.
