Newcastle Racing: Best Bets

By Louis Moir

Tuesday 11th October

Tomorrow’s Angel in 17:02 Newcastle Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap at 9/2 (General)

Wonderful Times in 18:02 Newcastle Follow AtTheRaces On Twitter Maiden Stakes at 2/1 (General)

TOMORROW’S ANGEL is a 7 year old daughter of Teofilo and trainer Tristan Davidson has his horses in good order with 67% running to form. Tomorrow’s Angel rates really good value in this field of 8 runners given the way she kept on over 1m7f last time out. Despite being worse off at the weights, she can reverse the form with current favourite Floating Rock.

5(4) Tomorrow’s Angel 14

Age: 7 Weight: 9-10 Jockey: Phil Dennis Trainer: Tristan Davidson OR: 56

Form: 18-035

The extra furlong long trip will be sure to suit and she needs considering off 2 lb lower with last times apprentice being replaced with a more experienced jockey which also provides further confidence in her credentials this time round.

WONDERFUL TIMES has shown fairly useful form when finishing in the placings on 4 of her 5 career starts. This 3 year old filly has not always delivered off the bridle but first-time cheekpieces here today may help when it comes to her hopefully running a big race nearer the finish. She makes her tapeta debut and sets a clear standard to the rest of the field.

8(4) Wonderful Times 16

Age: 3 Weight: 9-2 Jockey: Benoit De La Sayette Trainer: John & Thady Gosden OR: 79

Form: 22523

Receiving the sex allowance and Benoit De La Sayette's 3lb claim means she gets 8lb from the second favourite in the race JEAN DANJOU. This talented young jockey also has a 41% strike rate when riding favourites, so that is a major positive that enhances the chances of Wonderful Times claiming what would be her first career success.
