NBA: Preview and Best Bets

By Michael Douglas

Post Christmas is when the NBA season really ramps up and we start to see who teams really are, games are coming thick and at the near mid point of the regular season we’re starting to see if the fast starters can keep up the pace and if those who were sluggish out of the blocks can make a push for the playoffs as the games come thick and fast!

Tonight’s action sees 3 interesting matchups and I’m liking the look of this treble below which BinkBet have boosted to 7/2 from 9/5 so we’re getting some great value on it as all 3 teams look to rebound from losses in their last games.

Milwaukee Bucks to beat Washington Wizards

The Wizards actually come in to this on the back of 5 straight wins including a win against these very Bucks on Monday night. However the Bucks were missing their Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo who it looks like will be back tonight and I see the Bucks bouncing back and continuing to chase Boston for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks rarely lose two games at home in a row and having lost 4 of their last 5 expect a reaction here in front of their home fans.

Boston Celtics to beat Oklahoma City Thunder

Speaking of the Celtics the Eastern Conference leaders head to OKC to take on the Thunder in the 2nd game of a 4 game road trip. The Celtics flew out of the blocks this season but have come back to the pack a bit recently but should have way too much firepower for this OKC team who are currently 12th in the Western Conference and lost their last 2 games. Jayson Tatum is averaging over 30 points in his last 5 games and should lead the Celtics to a bounce back win following a defeat in Denver on Sunday evening.

Utah Jazz to beat Sacramento Kings

This is probably the trickiest leg of the treble but I think Utah can get a much needed win at home to this Kings team. The Kings might be the most entertaining team in the league this year with plenty high scoring games. Their last game of 2022 was a 126-125 win at home to Utah which showed how closely matched these teams are and I think the home advantage here will be the difference as Utah try to break a losing streak. Utah had a surprising start to the season as it looked like a rebuild was on the cards but they are outperforming expectations and with Lauri Markkanen playing some great basketball they represent good value to complete this treble alongside the top two Eastern Conference teams.
