Monday October 17

Local Dynasty in 14:00 Pontefract British Stallion Studs EBF Silver Tankard Stakes (Listed) at 1/1 (General)

Foden in 16:10 Windsor Ivor Laws Memorial Handicap at 3/1 (General)

LOCAL DYNASTY is a 2 year old son of Dubawi who won on debut at Newmarket before having finished fifth behind the impressive looking Chaldean in the Acomb at York next time out. He quickly got back on track when landing a Sandown novice event 33 days ago, staying on strongly that day. He certainly has leading claims back up in grade and is fancied to go very close here today. Has the potential to even improve further.

4(4) Local Dynasty 33

Age: 2 Weight: 9-5 Jockey: William Buick Trainer: Charlie Appleby OR: 94

Form: 151

Trainer Charlie Appleby has a 29% strike rate with his horses that run in races between 7f and up to 10f. The yard also seem to have a decent strike rate (28%) when it comes too late on in the flat season.

FODEN was victorious at Beverley in April and returned from a lay-off in very good nick when third of 14 other rivals in a handicap over course and distance 14 days ago, running on fairly well looking like he will be one to keep note of in future races. He is definitely remains relatively unexposed and is a major player here today off an unchanged mark.

4(6) Foden 14

Age: 3 Weight: 9-7 Jockey: Sean Levey Trainer: Richard Hannon OR: 81

Form: 87-133

That race was a more competitive affair and he was a good third so he is fancied to step up today with that run behind him and the importance of having experience over this course and distance. Improving all the time and is capable of better.
