Liverpool v Aston Villa

14:00 BST, Sunday

TV Channel: Sky Sports

6+ corners for Liverpool, Cash & TAA 2+ shots each – 10/1

Two great wins last weekend will ensure these two teams go into this fixture in buoyant mood. Liverpool’s remarkable comeback at St James Park was as incredible as it was unexpected and the Reds will be hoping Darwin Nunez has found his scoring boots. Villa ran out comfortable 3-1 victors over newly promoted Burnley with ‘The Polish Cafu’ having a field day.

Matty Cash is where I’m starting with this selection. The Villa right back had a match leading 5 shots against Burnley, 3 of these being in the box and 2 of which were on target. He’s sure to have a few lung busting runs down the right and pull the trigger. Trent Alexander Arnold will be looking to take advantage of what was a clear sending off last weekend and make his presence felt this weekend. The English right back has been on freekick duty this season and is playing in a more advanced role, leading to an increased goal threat. Both players to have 2+ shots.

I’m keeping this next selection simple. Liverpool have racked up 13 corners in 3 matches so far this season in some difficult fixtures. They had 10 corners in their last home match, and I expect them to get a good number this weekend. 6+ corners for Liverpool.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Aston Villa (ThePools odds: 11/1)
