Karl Burke’s horse has always put his best foot forward when running on an artificial surface and he has notably taken a liking to Newcastle. He has run at the track four times and has form figures of 1214 so clearly the nature of the course suits this son of Dandy Man well.
LORD OF THE LODGE made a satisfactory return to the track after four months off when 3rd at Wolverhampton over 6f. He has generally improved for a run and will also benefit from the step up in trip to 7f. Pierre Louise Jamin is back in the saddle who has ridden him to victory before and he takes off a handy 3lb from his already workable handicap mark of 100. I expect a big showing giving weight away to his inferior rivals today.
