BONDI BAY is taken to land her hat-trick today at Newmarket. This is a rise in class, but he has shown promising signs in all of her runs so far. It is unlikely we have seen the best of her yet, and although BONDI BAY runs with an 8lb increase, this sprinter will take all of the beating today.

The feature race of the day takes place at Ascot this afternoon "King George VI Queen Elizabeth Quipco Stakes". And with an absolutely stacked field, a case can be argued for a number of these runners. However, it's HUKUM who I am choosing to side with today. At 11/2 this C&D winner is a very likeable type. His win at the Coronation Cup last summer was followed up by an impressive win over the Derby winning Desert Crown, and if all has been well behind the scenes, HUKUM has every chance of winning today. Ideally we will see a bit of rain, but even if the ground remains 'good' I'd expect HUKUM to be in contention with the likes of Auguste Rodin & Emily Upjohn.

GOLDEN SHOT made it 3 wins from 4 on his reappearance at Ayr on Monday. As that was an apprentice race, GOLDEN SHOT escapes a penalty which makes the selection very hard to beat. If GOLDEN SHOT can cope with the quick turnaround, he will be tough to beat off the same mark. The main danger for me was Captain Kane who has just been announced as a NR.
