Fantasy Football: Week 10

By Adam Early

Manchester City have a nice looking home game in GW10 v Southampton, and with an XG of 1.24 per game Haaland is once again the number one Captain choice. However it may be worth looking to transfer one or two City players out after this gameweek, especially if you own three, as they have no fixture in GW12 and a tough fixture GW11 fixture in Liverpool.

Over the GW11 and GW12, City have one game rated at '5'. The same applies to high flying Arsenal, although it isn't as bad. They face Liverpool this weekend before a trip to Leeds and then no game in GW12.

Potential Players to transfer in:

Wilfried Zaha (7.3m)

This is a great price given Palace's upcoming fixtures. Zaha has been averaging 3.7 points per game, but with the run of opponents, I predict a few double point hauls. Surprisingly he is averaging an open play xG that is better than Luis Diaz, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho this season.

Jarrod Bowen (8.1m)

His numbers are no doubt lower than last season but is averaging more shots per game than any other WH player. With a nice looking fixture in Fulham (H) it would be no surprise to see him haul this week.

Anthony Martial (6.9m)

Perhaps not one for the risk averse, but after last weekends’ brace versus City we would be surprised to see him not start this week especially after being benched in the midweek Europa action. At 6.9m he represents massive value and would be a differential with only 0.9% of managers owning him.

Who should I captain?

This should be a pretty simple decision, Haaland is without doubt the best captain choice this weekend with Southampton (H) He is absolutely on fire and smashing all sorts of records at the moment. It also seem unlikely he will start from the bench as he was taken off after HT in Wednesday nights Champions League game. If for some reason you don’t own Haaland, some alternative picks would be Kevin De Bruyne, Harry Kane or James Maddison.
