Watford to beat Stevenage:
Watford got off to a perfect start with a 4-0 win over QPR on Saturday, whilst Stevenage secured a 1-0 win over Northampton.
Stevenage secured an impressive 85 points on their road to promotion last campaign, but with league safety their main priority we can expect a reduced intensity to their performance against Watford. Giorgi Chakvetazde was very impressive when coming on against QPR, and is expected to receive his first start tonight. With both teams rotating, squad depth is likely to make the difference and therefore Watford should have enough to win. With players still vying to impress new manager Valerien Ismael, we can expect a strong performance from each of the hornets stepping onto the pitch tonight.
Wrexham v Wigan - Over 2.5 Goals:
Wrexham received a baptism of fire when losing 5-3 to MK Dons on Saturday, and it wouldn't surprise me if they were to lose again tonight against League One outfit Wigan. Surprisingly Wrexham enter this game as favourites, but with multiple unknowns, the goal line seems to be the best bet.
Wrexham's 4 pre-season matches amassed 15 goals (3.75 per game) and with their 8 goal thriller at the weekend still fresh in the minds, we can hope for another goal-fest tonight.
Sunderland to beat Crewe:
Overwhelming favourites Sunderland face a League Two Crewe side that doesn't offer much on paper coming into tonight. Crewe remain joint favourites for relegation this year, and will be focusing all their efforts on remaining in the Football League. With the EFL Cup being a potential distraction for both sides, Sunderland still offer a lot more from a squad perspective and shouldn't have any issues in overcoming an underwhelming Crewe outfit.
