Mulberry Hill in 13:35 Carlisle Welcome Back To The Jumps Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at 5/1

Tico Times in 15:55 Carlisle John Budden Memorial Handicap Chase at 3/1

MULBERRY HILL was a Worcester maiden winner at the end of last summer winning that by 9 ½ lengths. She has been putting in mostly respectable efforts in handicaps this summer and is fancied to be very competitive here today having dropped to the mark she was second from at Aintree in June. Is open to massive improvement since having wind surgery and rates a major threat for a yard in great form.

6 Mulberry Hill 43

Age: 6 Weight: 11-7 Jockey: Jack Hogan Trainer: Fergal O’Brien OR: 112

Form: -42245

Jockey Jack Hogan claims 6lb and he has notched up a few winners for trainer Fergal O’Brien in recent weeks. This horse is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace in the hope that she will have enough left in the tank to come and challenge to put herself right in the mix to give herself a chance of a second career success.

TICO TIMES seems to have been running to a much more consistent level since getting older and has been better than ever at the age of 9. He gained his third win of the summer in comfortable fashion at Perth over 2m last month. This continued good form carried on when he finished second at Sedgefield last week and it seems he may have plenty left to run yet another solid race here today.

4 Tico Times 8

Age: 9 Weight: 11-5 Jockey: Danny McMenamin Trainer: Dianne Sayer OR: 106

Form: 131212

He has the benefit of race-fitness on his side so that should be a plus when comparing him to the rest of the field. The current second favourite in the race WHEELBAHRI was a rapidly improving sort last season but has not been seen for 180 days, therefore the in-form Tico Times should run a big race.
