Sydney Sixers vs Melbourne Stars
It’s an early start on Boxing Day after a heavy Christmas Day, but for the cricket fans, this clash is well worth the early start. Sydney are up there with the most successful teams in Big Bash history and the stars are constantly filled with stars. Josh Phillipe has a great record against the Melbourne side and Sydney will need him to continue that in order to win this one. Joe Clarke hit 100 in his penultimate start and the Englishman will feel confident about hitting that form again. With the ball, the spinners really troubled Sydney in their opener so Zampa is a good pick. For the Sixers , it’s the seamers that seem more likely to take wickets given the Stars other games, so I’ll be taking a chance on Dwarshuis to have some success.

Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers
The strikers have been a surprise this season so far, impressing majorly, including bowling the Thunder out for just 15. Short was superb in the last game with the ball, and Thornton has been a raging success thus far. For the Scorchers they’re coming into this with confidence sky high after hitting 229 against the Stars before Christmas. This is set to be a cracker but I’m backing the Strikers to get the job done. With the bat they rely on Lynn and Short majorly, and this is the sort of game where Lynn comes into his own. For the Scorchers, Lyth is yet to properly fire but in a game like this, the Englishman could easily find his form. With the ball the Strikers have been strong, Thornton and Agar have lots of wickets already and I’m backing Agar to get some more here. For the Scorchers Behrendorff has impressed, taking 3 wickets against the Stars and I’m backing him to carry on that form here.
